Stuck writing your NaNoWriMo book, or a short story, or just feel like scribbling a quick flash tale and need an idea injection fast? Log into twitter (and if you're not on twitter - why not? Okay, time suck, it would bore you, I get it, I get it - sort of and not quite because I love twittering) and write down interesting things from the first 10 or so tweets you read and weave them into something.
The experiment gave me...
Incredibly cold
Only sound was a mouse in the kitchen
Christmas
Craft Fair
Reverential Silence
Different Label
I could weave something fearful from that and I bet you could too.

I love those prompts but...is there a bigger time bandit than Twitter? I think not!
Cate, you have a magical way of turning time-suck into writing gold. Cheers!
You're right, Mike. Twitter is the biggest time stealer of all.
You're welome, Aaron
Twitter is a time suck, however that sounds like a wonderful idea generator, but I'd rather read Barbed Wire Hearts which I received from Shane yesterday.
Cheers
Jeff
OMG! You have Barbed Wire Hearts. OMG! You have it already. Thanks so much, Jeff.
Oooh I like this method...
Or I just want to procrastinate. Still. It's awesome.
Yes, there may have been some procrastinating involved, Katey
Am still successfully resisting Twitter. Hopefully this will last. Good inspiration though.
Nice! I've just got to go and try it now ...
