A Curious Edit

Day one of life without the novella (that thing had me in its stranglehold since Feb 14th) and from the file of short stories I need to rewrite/edit, I chose the one with...

...a broken heart, cobwebs and spiders.

Hmm. I'm sensing a theme here.

Nice! Themes are good. I talk themes every day with my students. :-)

The first day without the story that had you in a stranglehold. Isn't that a weird feeling? It's always so quiet in my head :/

Although themes that constantly reference spiders are likely to leave this writer a gibbering wreck, Tony ;)

It is, Katey. I want my people back.

We like to call this an "author's style" where I come from. You have plenty of style, Cate.

Face it, you can't go wrong with spiders. I mean broken hearts. Oh heck, both.

Especially in the handbag department, Aaron ;)

I'd noticed, Natalie. (Among other things)

Let's hope not, Kate
