I Feel Like Rocky

...only I don't run in snow.

New blog is doing tricky things.

So, I get up at 5:30 and I do some time on the exercise bike--we won't go into the precise details of minutes and seconds because they're embarrasing. Although, in my defence, I didn't want the bath to overflow. Bit of clarity here--not because I'd set the bike up in the bath, but because I'd started running the bath before I climbed on the bike.

My bath runs slow.

My bath possibly doesn't run slow enough.

Next training session occured at work. Once I'd filled my bin with crap, crap and more crap (as in paper crap not food crap--unless you count satsuma skin), I hooked my feet onto the side of it and did a little lifting with my legs. Man it hurt after a while, but it hurt my colleague more. Of course, as she is thin and I am not, I declared that maybe my fat was actually muscle. She didn't look convinced. Darn. Those who passed by reception must have thought us mad--hey, what's new.

Going to finish off the day with a mad boogie around my bedroom and spend a little time with Sid (my exercise bike).

And talking of new regimes... Have you seen my new blog design? Yes, I expect you're probably looking at it right now, but hey, you might be reading it in Google Reader. I spend a lot of time there. I've added a link page for all the awesome writers I know. If you're not on it, I probably don't know you or forgot you. If I forgot you, let me know and oops! The 'Blogs I Stalk' widget will be restored when I get around to re-adding all the blogs. New template wiped my settings. Darn.

Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, my web address has changed to http://www.categardner.net/, all visits to fright-fest.blogspot.com should be redirected here (or so Google reliably informs me), but http://www.categardner.com/ is defunct as I made a boob...

...which is kinda awkward because I'm trying to reduce the two I already have. ;)

I've been doing deep knee bends and touch-my-toes, but not at work. They already suspect I'm nuts there. I don't need to convince them.

I fear if I attempt to touch my toes I'll spend the rest of the year walking around like a letter n.

You've done a lot more than I have today, so far. I'm still in that dream/wake stage where my mind is trying to convince my body to shake the urge for a nap.

Ah, but I'm ahead of you in time, Andrea ;)

Site overhaul, body overhaul...is it a new year or sumfink?

And just Look at you, 100 followers!

Cate, I'm trying to get back into my exercise habits too--thank god for that stepper! I could use some, er, reduction up there too. (It's awkward being 5'2" and... yeah. Well, you know.)

Won't your host let you point your nameservers to... whatever for your .com as well as your .net? Is it google? Those bastards!

(No, I kid, really... I love google... since this is from my google account...)

I can't remember the last time I took a bath instead of a shower. I can't remember the last time I exercised either...

Go Cate!

Loving the new blog look. The tabs are a great addition.

I hit the magic number (erm, well kinda magic). I suspect someone will disappear overnight, Mike.

I'm so much taller than you, Katey. By half a precious inch. I buggered up my .com address not google. Well maybe they helped a little.

I can't remember the last time I took a shower instead of a bath, Anthony. Oh wait, I can. I think it was Vegas in 98.

Thanks, Sophie.

You go, Cate. I'm aiming to produce myself in a more edited version this year as well. My new lodger is ex-army and has vowed to set me on the path. I suspect this is going to hurt. Ah well.

Oh, and the new blog is fandabidozi. Cateland would be a cool place anyway, but the new decor just gives it that extra je ne sais quoi. :)

(Btw, what's a trubion? It's my word verification for this post. It sounds like it should mean something even if it doesn't.)

A little exercise here and there is perfect. And the new site is very nice, too. Glad you stuck with a shade of green.

Love the new look :)

This deep into winter, I'm unclear what this "exercise" you mention is.

Yay! I'm very impressed (though not motivated enough by your Rocky-esque example). Perhaps when all the crisps have been consumed...

Nice new look around these here parts. And I hear exercise is good for us writers considering how sedentary we can get at times...
