I wasn't going to post again this year until New Year's Eve, but on the day I surfaced back on the net the following review by Steven Pirie over at The Future Fire went live. I wake at the best times.
This is without doubt a most unusual collection of short stories. It’s nice when a writer finds a unique voice, and Cate Gardner has done just that with Strange Men in Pinstripe Suits. Read the full review here.
The book is now also available to purchase at Amazon UK which is super cool because I'm British.

A top review, and well-deserved. Have a lovely New Year. x
Hurrah! It's a top collection, to be sure, and the reviewer's bang on the money re. 'Empty Box Motel'. I wish I'd written that story. S'beautiful.
Thanks, Simon. You too. Get very, very merry.
I'll swap you Empty Box for Clob, Mike.
Here's hoping everyone puts Aunt Mildred's Christmas tenner toward a copy! Lovely review, Cate, so cool.
It's what Aunt Mildred would want. :D
Great review! Very well deserved too, of course. :)
Kippers!
I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds British. I'm assuming it's either "congratulations" or "small fish." If it's the latter, please enjoy some small fish.
That's a whole lotta New Year's goodness to me. Fantastic, Cate!
Cate - I knew we had a winner. ;)
Congrats!
Sweet review -- and well deserved!
Thanks, Kate
Natalie, I actually consider myself a small fish.
It is indeed, Alan.
Ha, Aaron.
Thanks, Milo.
Very cool. Definitely well-deserved. 2011 ought to offer even more.
