The second Shock Totem flash-fiction writing contest begins tommorrow. Sign up over at the Shock Totem Forum if you want to enter. If you win, you get a small prize off one of the Shock Totem team at the end of the month and later in the year, one of the winning stories will be accepted for the magazine. Pro pay, people! :D
Last month's competition rocked. We all received about 17 critiques on our stories and the advice was solid. Plus, there were four winners: Damien Walters Grintalis, Effie Collins, Rich Sampson and Caton Easton.
I'm hoping to enter again this month, I guess it all depends on if the muse visits me or if she is too busy trying to fight her way out of a snow globe (WIP reference that will mean something only to me and thus is pants).
And while, we are on the subject of the fabulous Shock Totem, the second issue should hopefully be out later this month and it contains my story, Pretty Little Ghouls. I am very excited.

I read the last issue super slowly to savor it, finally finished it late last month, giving myself stories as rewards. I hope I can make this one last too... but I'm gonna turn right to yours when I get it :D
Thanks, Katey. :D
Flash fiction contests are to writing as chocolate is to my mouth.
Tasty.
Looking forward to issue #2 (and I will, of course, find the Gardner byline first)
Thanks for sharing. :)
Pimp it, baby!
Your story was absolutely beautiful. Excruciatingly lovely and painful. I can't wait to see it in print!

Aaron, good to see you've joined up.
My pleasure, Kim.
Thanks, Mercedes. You've had an outstanding response this month.
Ah, thanks for the heads up. I missed the last one. I'll have to make this one a priority.
Good luck, Gef.
