I like the possibilities there. All I have looked up is the evolution of the word 'dude'.
We both know I'm going to google that now, right?
I had some students build a working, 1/3 scale Trebuchet. Would've been a great tool for laying siege to a squirrel's nest.
I couldn't find what I was looking for. :(
Aaron, I think 'Trebuchet' is such a wonderful word.
Jamie, for some reason I found this page inspiring: http://podictionary.com/?p=64
"Evolution of the word 'dude'" takes you right to NPR. Which, of course, makes me want to listen to This I Believe. O, thou foul demon! This has been an NPR blogging circle this morning.
Faeries pulling buses? I wish that I could paint. That would be a spectacular picture!

I was once under the illusion that I could paint. I went out bought lots of supplies and then discovered, I couldn't.
Neat : )
My googling has been remarkably chaste lately. I'm a bit alarmed by this.
Today, I googled "feeling like ants are crawling in your skin." And now I have the creepy crawlies.
I haven't googled anything for my WIP lately. I ended up buying books on the subjects. :-D And I'm sure that I'll still end up googling something.
Your Googles are way more interesting then mine.
Would you like to do all of my future research for me?
Cool - always wanted to do something steampunk - one day.
Good luck with that.
Both are equally intriguing. My googling is quite mundane in comparison.
Natalie, the fact alarms me too.
Carrie, why ever would you do that? Says she with the whole insect thing on her list. Brrrrrr.
Tyhitia, to my eternal shame I have about 50 research books and they're covered in dust.
Ray, yes please - it's the fun part. :D
BT, me too. :D
Danielle, you'd think mine was too if I'd listed my procrastinating google stuff.
I'd never get nay writing done if I was doing research as awesome as that. It beats my "common problems with the digestive tract" by a mile.
Our googling grows closer and closer together as you move back in time and I move forward. I went a bit Victorian on that last one myself. We shall rule the steampunk/clockpunk world one day! Mwahaha!
Er, right.
Also, I want to agree that trebuchet is one of the best words ever.
I think the "fairies pulling buses" has me most intrigued. It's giving me delightful and frightening mental images.
Barry, I shall use my google research as an excuse next time I'm getting no writing done.
Katey, let's meet at The Great Exhibition and maybe we'll bump into Lewis Carroll there.
Kate, sadly after deciding to have fairies pulling buses my googling led me to their ultimate deletion. Sigh.
Ah, procrastinating google stuff - I am in good company then :)
"Wreckage wings"? I can't wait...
Love the idea of fairies pulling buses.
Ian, me neither and it's killing me that I have to finish this book and get back to work finishing another before I can get to it. Argh! Me impatient writer.
Kim, me too and I'm so sad that the scene didn't make it into my book.
I immediately googled "Fairies pulling buses." :) For my WIP I've been googling Ancient Greece, Astral Projection, The Fifth Element, Aether, Greek Philosophers.
Interesting... I think we should be able to provide lists of our google searches rather than synposises, they sound much more fun.
