John Hughes RIP
I love The Breakfast Club, I adore Ferris, the Vacation movies are still a must watch, and I need to see Some Kind of Wonderful again, but this was and always will be my favourite John Hughes movie. I demanded the hairdresser cut my hair like Andie's and I made myself a dress just like hers - only mine was black because well hers was pink... Sad, sad day.

A really sad day. I still can't quite believe it. Only 59. That's no age to die. But it never is, is it? :(
I loved Sixteen Candles.
I really liked his '80's comedies. There was always an important underlying message to be had. Ferris is still my favourite...
RIP indeed. I watched the Breakfast Club about 10 zillion times growing up. Sad news...
An excellent talent who burned out far too early. His work will last forever though, far longer than most of the 'blockbuster' movies they are releasing this summer.
It's one of those news reports you have to read twice because you can't believe it's true.
RIP, for real. Bender is still one of my favorite movie characters ever.

I think I saw most, if not all, of his films in the theater. What a loss. Many of those films were like slices out of my teenage life.
Now that was a sassy redhead : )
The Vacation movies rock! I have The Breakfast Club on DVD too. In fact all of his movies rock.
