The Not So Sour Artwork

Allow me to introduce to you the cover for 'The Sour Aftertaste of Olive Lemon', my chapbook which is to be published by Bucket 'O' Guts press later this summer. The stunning artwork (which is both green - my favourite colour - and has a butterfly - my favourite motif) is by Mr. Stephen Blundell. I have but one word - woot!

So cool...(I'm wiping the book-cover-envy-drool from my keyboard as we speak).

Congrats, Cate!

I'm planting the thing everywhere, people will be sick to death of seeing it soon. ;D

Oh, just beautiful! I'm even more excited to see it in my grubby little hands now. (Er, well, they're not grubby. But they could be!)

So lovely. My Biggest Congrats!

Katey, no grubbiness near the cover, thank you. :D Says she who spent her childhood colouring in illustrations and generally defacing books.

Thanks, Sophie. All kudos go to Mr. Blundell (and of course Mr. Lambert)

Thanks, Rebecca.

Me like pretty too, especially when pretty things are green and have butterflies hovering over glass jars. :D

Looks amazing. Stephen is so awesome...as are your stories. Can't wait to read this!

Cate Gardner said...

Thanks, Jamie. I knew Stephen was good (the images I've seen for the Harvest Hill anthology are outstanding), but this far surpassed my expectations.

Thanks, Barry. Next up your cover art for Debris.

That's sooooooo awesome. You must be over the moon, and rightfully so.

Cate Gardner said...

I was over the moon but leaping over the darn orb (which isn't as round as it appears from Earth) caused me to pull my back and now I'm lying face down catching my breath.

Mary, fate.

Ian, maybe I'm a liar and my favourite colour is pink. ;D Then again, maybe not.
