It may be a sign that the US is turning around. We're on the brink of having a president who knows how to read and speak. A plane crashes into the Hudson in the middle of winter and it's no thing . . .

I'm not going to have a Joe-the-Plumber problem when Mr. Sullenberger lands a book deal. He deserves it.
I would read that one. I bet he won't write it though. I think he wants to be left alone.

That's the first time I'd read his name. Sounds like the name of someone who would have gone big-game hunting with Hemingway wearing a pith helmet.
Remarkable story, though...those events almost never unfold that positively, and I'm sure a lot of that had to do with him keeping his wits.
I'm envsioning a Biggles like character.
