I believe everything in a book has a purpose even if you don't understand what that purpose is at the beginning. I just discovered why my theatre is located next door to a coffin factory - cool!

Nice...that's about as sinister a set-up as could be imagined.
It's almost like the realtor planned it that way...(Bill's n' Bubba's Realtors: "We're the Red Coat Guys!")
It's as if the book knows what it should be before you do.
Best description I've heard is that it's like uncovering a fossil...you find a toe bone sticking up out of the ground, and the author's job is to get out the shovels and trowels and brushes and Q-tips and uncover the rest.
Discovering spandrels in your work is always fun.
Sounds cool. Maybe this will be the one! I know a lot of people cracking into NaNoWriMo and I'm jealous -big time. I had an idea for a 20k novella, but as usual time ran away with me.
Cheers
Rich
Ah, setting...very nice. Also cleaning house on the word count.
Dude, I am so asking Ying what kind of feng shui that is : )
PS: Don't live across from a church.
Sounds interesting...Great job with NaNo...
You are so kicking butt right now. I love the set up. (done a lot of work on funeral homes but have never worked at a coffin factory)
Good news! It means you'll make money : )
Erik - It makes you feel all clever. :)
Rich - It seems to be a good year this year.
Aaron - we're nearly there!!!
Natalie, I think my feng shui is already all out of synch. & LOL!
Cheers, Brenda.
Yep Jamie, my first time in a coffin factory too.
You are cruising. Over 78%!!!
I'm amazed.
I'm finding similar things happening in my efforts, and it's fantastic. Brilliant word count too!
Awesome to see that you're so close to the finish line!
Ditto, Kim. I didn't expect to get to 50%.
Laura, our genius is beginning to shine ;)
Barry - And worrying I'm about to run out of plot. :cripes:
Oh, awesome! I can't imagine a better detail!
And you've outstripped my word count again, I see, and here I was all proud of myself. Darn it, slow down! :)
And my plot is running very, very thin. :)
