New Year... New Links...

I've added a few new sites to my link list. Query Tracker , an invaluable site with links to hundreds of literary agents, and it also includes helpful information such as genre, who is on their client list, whether they accept email or snail mail submissions, and also whether they have requested full manuscripts or rejected etc other members of Query Tracker. You can also keep track of all your submissions - date query letter sent etc.

The second site I have recently listed is the Class of 2k8 blog. Here a bunch of 'to be published for the first time in 2008' childrens novelists are celebrating their success. A good way to find some great new books to read and also to discover their separate journeys to publication. The excitement just bubbles of the page.

First rejection of the year for Lucy Baxter & The Evil Emporium today. Standard reply. Eight more to go. Keep your fingers crossed - for an acceptance that is, don't want to tempt the gods and all that.

Sending good thoughts your way that you find a publisher with great taste who'll trip over themselves to publish you work.

All the best.

Thanks for mentioning 2k8! Query Tracker looks like a very useful site--I've used the Writers Market site to track queries in the past, but QT looks like it's a bit more detailed and interactive. Wish it had been there when I was sending out those 100-something query letters! Good luck with finding an agent!
