Boys, Boys, Boys!!!

Messing about with my blog again - and so getting no work done - check out the new scroll of eye candy to the right - some cute boys to distract you. Nice... Of course, now I'm going to be procrastinating all day long...

Cool rejection for 'If you go down to...', nice comments, with a couple of editorial suggestions, but not for them... Have dispatched it elsewhere, so an A* on the keeping up with my submissions front. I kind of cheated a bit with my first two short story submissions - I sent them to markets that have a reputation of replying very, very quickly. The next reply may take a little longer.

Mind's a bit of a muddle at the moment - too many cooks, no sorry, too many pans on the fire and only one cook (I think that's right, but then, as I just said, I'm all of a muddle). I'm working on a short story for a horror anthology; have managed a whopping 325 words (ahem!) of The Poisoned Apple today (stop staring at those cuties and thinking how you can change your blog yet again...). AND... Wait for it...

So it's Sunday, and I get an invite on a Writers site I'm a member off to go nosey on over at some prompts that have been posted (members have 24 hours to write a short story/poem/whatever using the prompt words as inspiration). Next thing you know, I've dived into the challenge, completed a 1,000+ short story for children, and BINGO, I think I may just have the beginning of my next children's novel, and worse, or better, or HELP, it stars a new character. So if I was to mess about with my resolutions - it would be write another Lucy Baxter book (I'm aiming at a trilogy), write another Lily Sunday book (or was it two I signed up for), and now a boy has entered the mix...

Hey, I'm female, I can multi-task... GULP!

That is one awesome picture in the upper right, but I'm still trying to make out what that is a giant pile of. Bones?

Susan - thanks for visiting. I like the picture, it pretties up my blog (and I'm too much of a wimp to put my own face up there) - haven't a clue what's in the centre...

Hi Jeff - I'm writing something for VOICES - they want stories set in a hotel room.
